Football season is upon us and nothing screams tailgate party like a big bowl of delicious chili! Chili beans are a family favorite and I’m excited to be sharing a recipe that I developed for my family years ago. The kids go crazy for it and they always ask for it by name!
- 10 c. Cooked Pinto Beans (canned or fresh); liquid included
- 2.5 lbs. Lean Ground Beef; seasoned, cooked and drained
- 12 oz. Soyrizo cooked (chorizo can be used instead)
- 2 Tbsp. Dried Onion Flakes
- 2 Tbsp. Chili Powder
- 1 Tbsp. Cumin
- 1 Tbsp. Chicken Bouillon Powder
Combine all the ingredients in a large slow cooker. You can add water if you like a thinner broth.
Slow cook on high for 2 hours. This will allow all the flavors to blend nicely for a rich and savory chili.
Serve in fun Football Chili Bowls and top with diced onions and shredded cheese. This chili is also great for chili dogs and chili nachos!
