We had the most fantastic Valentine’s Day craft party in the art studio this weekend to celebrate love and gratitude. It was a family event, which means we had to make sure our crafts were open ended, engaging, and fun for all ages. No small feat. I am thrilled to say all three Valentine’s crafts hit the mark. Read on for all of our Valentine craft ideas!
Table one was the main show. Each child was able to decorate their own Valentine treasure box and fill it with as many Valentine’s as they wanted. I’m not always a fan of pre-made objects to decorate, but what I love about these porcelain hearts is that they work with so may materials that you really can have fun making them.

The second table was Valentine’s Day pop-up card making. This is such a simple Valentine’s craft and has endless possibilities. Cut two slits on the seam of the Valentine cards and push them forward to create a small ledge inside the card. Use the ledge to glue on a heart. Add tons of details from washi tape, stickers, Sharpie® markers, etc.

At the third and final table, we had Valentine necklace making. This was easy and fun, plus each necklace came out totally different. I’m still wearing mine as a matter of fact. We used the wood hearts as the main pendant to decorate and then simply tied on a string and added beads. There is no wrong or right way to do these. I love how this little one used a pipe cleaner to attach her heart to the necklace.
