Celebrate spring with our recycled egg carton wreath from Ella and Annie! This egg carton craft makes the most festive wreath made with an embroidery hoop, paper egg cartons, felt flower embellishments, and tropical paint. This kids craft is easy enough for beginners and only takes about 30 minutes to make. The hoops come in various sizes, so you can make multiple wreaths for Spring home decor! Add fun embellishments to the wreath like feathers, buttons, or jewels.
Using scissors, cut up the paper egg carton into 12 egg cups. It's ok if they are not perfectly shaped. Trim the edges of each egg cup to resemble flower petals.
It's time to decorate! The girl's used a fun tropical colors to paint each egg carton flower. We sprinkled a few of them with glitter and added a self-adhesive button to the flower center. You can add a dot of hot glue so that the button sticks better.
Arrange the egg carton and felt flowers together. Decide on how you would like to arrange the flowers on the embroidery wreath. Using hot glue, attach the flowers to the hoop.
Ella and Annie wanted to add a border of buttons to the hoop to finish our wreath! We just love how the wreath turned out, don't you? You could paint the hoop or leave the natural wood as well.
