Create this stunning and colorful DIY centerpiece for your wedding day. In just a few steps you can transform a versatile set of votive vases into a custom look.

Project Time
15 to 25 min
Difficulty
Beginner
Step
1

Accent one or two vases with a colorful ribbon or personalized monogram sticker. Use an adhesive Glue Dot® to adhere the ribbon accent to the vase and trim the edges.

Step
2

Fill the vases with your choice of acrylic ice, beads, flower petals or colored water to match your wedding theme.

Step
3

Create the fresh floral topper by using a small block of floral foam (often called Oasis). If you are using silk flowers, use floral foam designed for silks. Soak the foam in water before inserting the fresh flower stems.

Step
4

Trim flowers so there is approx. a 1 ½” stem. Insert the flowers into the block of foam.

Step
5

Cover five sides of the foam block with flowers, keeping the flower heads tightly grouped. You should not be able to see any green foam peeking through.

Step
6

Gently place the flower topper on the tallest glass vase pushing the foam about ¼” onto the vase opening. This will keep the flower topper level and secure. For more bling, place the vases on top of round, oval or heart-shaped mirrors. A coordinating tablecloth and reception decorations will complete this beautiful look on your wedding day.
