Pull apart each ornament so you have two halves. Spray paint the halves yellow. I did about 3 coats to completely cover the ornaments.

Once the ornaments are dry, stick both halves back together. Using the Elmer’s paint markers, draw your favorite emoji faces on each spray painted ornament.

Let’s go over some emoji recognition. We made the face with heart shaped eyes and used a black and red paint pen. First, draw on the heart eyes and allow to dry before using the black paint pen to draw on the emoji mouth.

My kids had a blast helping me make these emoji ornaments! They are relatively easy to make. Once you’re done drawing all your emoji faces, thread a chenille stem through the hole at the top of your ornaments. Twist close at the top and trim off any excess.

Hang your silly emoji ornaments on your Christmas tree or give them as gifts this holiday season. What is your favorite emoji face? Make sure to tag #ellaandannie when sharing your emoji ornament creations!
