Supplies Needed:
Big Mouth Crazy Emoji Beach Towel
To create the photo booth I hung the black and white backdrop on top of one of my white boards. This was already dead space, so it was the perfect location to create the background display. If you are limited on wall space, you could always hang this up in the hallway! I hung Mylar balloons across the top of our backdrop and then hung inflatable emoji floats using white string.
I left out a bucket of photo booth props for the students and parents to hold up different emoji faces or hashtags.
First we took photos in class, I let them take them individually or with friends. I just made sure that everyone had a photo for me to print out.
I asked the students to write an end of the year reflection, telling me some of their favorite memories from 4th grade! To make things fun, I created a writing station using an emoji beach towel. This created a location in the room for them to sit and write their reflection. I allowed four students to use the emoji towel at once to ensure it didn't get too crowded. I used their emoji reflections as the cover of their portfolio and left the photo booth up for the parents and students to take pictures at Open House. It definitely was the highlight of the evening and I will make sure to do this again next year!
