Cut the wire edges off of the 2.5” Moss Green Burlap Ribbon and cut the ribbon into 3” strips.
Use spray starch to soak the burlap strips in starch. Once the starch is dry, fold the strips in half lengthwise and iron the burlap in half.
Download, print and cut out the printable holly leaf template. Use White Chalk to trace around the template and cut out the leaf. Depending on how full you want your tree skirt will depend on how many holly leaves to make. For our tree skirt, we made 65 leaves. Download the Free Printable Holly Leaf Template here!
Spread out the DIY Burlap Tree Skirt and hit it with a bit of steam to iron out the wrinkles. Layout the holly leaves and Christmas Wool Felt Pom-poms to create a design that you like. At this point you can either sew the holly leaves on using a simple running stitch and Natural Jute Twine or you can simply hot glue the leaves and felt pom-poms to the DIY Burlap Tree Skirt.
