These DIY wood frames make the perfect Father’s day craft! Kids can decorate the plain frames with colorful washi tape - an easy craft supply for all ages to work with. We chose to use the primary and patriotic washi tape paired with self-adhesive foam shapes. You and the kids can choose a theme that Dad will love. Once you demonstrate how to cut the small pieces of tape and fold them onto the frame, your kiddos will catch on and be able to finish!
Cut small pieces of green polka dot washi tape to fold over frame. Nine small pieces for both the top and bottom of frame and six pieces for the sides. Fold the washi tape over the wood and smooth out any creases.
Put the frame back together. Use the self adhesive letters to spell “Grandpa, Papa, Dad” or “Happy Father’s Day”. Add fun dinosaur embellishments! Trim photo to fit frame and place in frame.
Repeat steps 1-3 to create the super hero “Dad” frame.
