Spring is the season for adorable carrot decor, and these Felt Carrot Napkin Rings are the perfect addition to your holiday table this Easter! Just a few simple craft supplies are needed to make these DIY napkin rings. They're a darling addition to your Easter tablescape and instantly elevate any spring table setting. We made these napkin rings to spruce up place settings at our very own Gnome Inspired Easter Party!
Gather six medium and six small wood ball beads, and thread them in an alternating pattern onto a chenille stem.
Once all twelve beads are on the stem, twist the chenille stem tightly where the beads meet at either end, creating a circle. Trim off excess with scissors. Create six of these, and set aside.
Using the template enclosed, cut a strip of green felt, and fringe cut it, using scissors. Take care not to cut all the way through. Run a narrow bead of hot glue along the bottom edge of the felt, and roll it to create a full and fluffy carrot top.
Cut a sheet of orange felt into four equal quarters. Use your finger to roll a cone shape as shown, or, you can use the free template provided. Use a narrow line of hot glue to hold the shape and allow it to set. Trim the top of the cone straight across if needed, but don't take too much excess off, you'll need the length later.
Using a white chalk pen, create random long and short horizontal lines on the surface of the felt cone to give it a realistic carrot look.
Add a pinch of poly fill or roving to stuff the carrot. Using a pencil can help to get the stuffing down to the point; take care that it doesn't push through.
Here's where that extra length on the carrot felt comes in. Carefully fold the felt inward around the perimeter of the "opening" of the carrot. You should have a small well that is created when you do this.
Add a generous squeeze of hot glue to the inside of the well, and carefully push the carrot top inside. Press gently around the entire top, sealing it together well. Repeat steps 1-8 to create as many carrots as needed.
Attach the finished carrots to the wood bead circles with hot glue, over the section where the chenille stem is twisted, to conceal it.
