With just a few steps and printable templates, you can create a set of carrots and tomatoes in one afternoon. Print and cut the carrot template. Pin the template to the felt. You will need to cut two pieces from orange felt for each carrot. Download the Free Felt Food Printable here!
Stitch two pieces of felt together and turn it inside out.
Next stuff the carrots with Poly-Fil®.
Using the printable template as a guide, cut two pieces of green felt for the stem. You will need two pieces for each carrot.
Stitch two pieces together using a blanket stitch along the edge. Add leaf details using a straight top stitch.
Place the end of the stem inside the carrot and stitch closed with a top stitch. Add details with top stitches along the carrot.
For the tomatoes, print and cut the pattern template. Pin the pattern to red felt. You will need one circle for each tomato.
With a needle and thread, weave the needle at the edge of the circle to create a drawstring sack. Stuff the little sack with Poly-Fil®.
Next, pull the string tight to close the sack. Stitch closed and secure with a knot.
Cut a green felt stem, using the printable template as a guide.
Secure the stem to the top of the tomato with hot glue. Add a small piece of green chenille stem to the top, secure with hot glue.
