Pour some red, orange, and yellow paint into a paint tray. Dip a child's thumb or finger into one of the colors. Gently press the thumb or finger onto the tree paper near a branch of the tree. Repeat with each color a few times until the tree looks full. Let paint dry completely.
Once the paint is dry, the child can use a black Sharpie to write one thing they are grateful for above or below each leaf.
An adult can write for younger kids who would like to make a thankful tree too.
Set the wood round down flat and place the tree paper where you would like it displayed on the wood. Take a clothespin and set it at the top of the tree paper. Use hot glue and a glue gun to glue the two clothespin in place so that the tree paper is centered and looks even.
To display, place the gratitude tree print inside the clothespins to hold in place. Place this colorful thankful tree decoration in your home for Thanksgiving as a reminder to be grateful for all that is given.
