Parties are all about give and take. Keeping traditional elements are important to create a cohesive, familiar event. However, taking a traditional element and tweaking it a bit, adds the unexpected surprise that we also long for. In the Floral Bridal Shower, I chose to take these giant traditional balloons and anchor them with greenery to change it up. I created a darling DIY Floral Strung Balloon Garland that adds a unique element to my party table, and it also adds depth and height to the party-scape.
Inflate balloon with helium tank. Cut boxwood garland into desired length and attach to balloon knot on one end with twine.
Attach bottom of boxwood strand to the top of the mercury hanging globe with twine.
Fill mercury hanging globes with white medium sized gum balls to weigh the balloon down.
I had so much fun creating, styling, and crafting for this floral bridal shower. As I have mentioned before in other project posts, one of my most favorite things to do is to take something traditional and then add an unexpected element to it, changing it up a bit.
