Get ready for some Valentine's Day crafting fun with this flying unicorn paper plate craft. After kids finish making their Valentine's Day craft, they will love playing with it and watching their magical Valentine unicorn dance and float around the colorful rainbow background on the paper plate. This festive paper plate Valentine craft is a perfect make and take craft for a Valentine party at home or school.
Open up your Valentine Unicorn Magnet Craft Kit and lay out each of the pieces included in the kit. Use the instructions and photos as a guide to assemble your unicorn together with the exception of applying the magnet on the back. Set aside the magnet to use for a different craft project.
Peel the backing off the adhesive foam strip from the unicorn kit that was intended for the magnet and place it at the top of a large wood craft stick. Attach your assembled unicorn on the adhesive foam strip, at the top of the craft stick.
Turn your rainbow paper plate upside down. Poke a hole in the bottom corner of the paper plate with your scissors and cut along the bottom line of the paper plate, creating an opening along the bottom of the paper plate.
Place the end of your Valentine Unicorn inside the opening you created at the bottom of your rainbow paper plate.
Now it's time for play! Hold onto the rainbow paper plate with one hand and then use your other hand to move around the craft stick below the paper plate. Watch as the unicorn flies around the colorful rainbow as you move the craft stick around.
