Black and white is perhaps one of the most classic and elegant color palettes for a wedding. We wanted to create a unique take on this favorite palette by bringing in a whole lot of spring greenery and bright blooms. With bold black and white stripes, soft white florals, an abundance of stunning greenery this contemporary spring wedding is sure to please!
The Table:
The table was set in a sleek black fabric tablecloth. Black and white striped runners were layered on top to bring in a contemporary and stylish addition to the table.
The Place Settings:
Each place setting was grounded with a gold charger plate which was topped with a square black plate along with white dinner and dessert plates.
A chic black and white ribbon detail separated the plates and tied into the table runners perfectly.
A soft faux white peony added some much needed texture to each setting.
To the right sat crystal cut drinkware which looked stunning with the setting. Each glass was filled with our light and refreshing recipe for Mint and Cucumber Gimlets; a new take on an old favorite!
To the side of each place setting sat modern gold metallic cutlery resting atop of a striped napkin, which played off of our gold details beautifully.
We wanted our guests' chairs to compliment the decor of the table and centerpiece, so we created a simple DIY Floral Chair Backer! See which basic craft supplies we used to create this chair backer. We love how the same details and components from the table extend right to the chairs for an elegant Spring look!
The Centerpiece:
Just like our theme, our centerpiece was full of gold, florals, stripes and natural elements.
A black and white striped tablecloth was topped with large white flowers, stylish gold geometric candle sticks and grass greenery balls.
A calligraphy table number was displayed in the center of the table to help direct guests in a fashionable way.
The gold geometric candle sticks brought a modern touch to our centerpiece and looked stunning mixed in among the florals and greenery.
We opted for the vibrant green of these grass greenery balls to give the wedding a fresh, spring look.
These faux white peonies were the perfect size for our centerpiece and looked elegant against the metallic gold and vibrant, green tones that we also used.
We wanted to bring a little height to the ends of our centerpiece so we filled clear apothecary style jars with smaller grass greenery balls.
The Backdrop:
A backdrop should perfectly complement the tables surrounding it, so we wanted to keep ours light, bright and full of spring inspiration.
Gold geometric frames were layered with bright green faux eucalyptus and more faux white flowers.
The Card and Drink Table:
Sitting beneath the backdrop was our drink buffet and card table. This is a perfect and easy table to set up for guests to safely drop off their wedding cards and grab a custom cocktail!
This DIY Gold Sphere Card Box is a simple and stylish way to collect small gifts and cards from guests as they grab a drink.
We served additional Mint and Cucumber Gimlets in cut glassware at this table so guests were free to help themselves and dance the night away!
