Banners and garlands are great ways to add some color and interest into your space. You can use them to label areas in your room, create name banners, make a WELCOME banner for your entrance, and use it as a cute accent on a bulletin board! In the Gears classroom, I used some gear cutouts to make a name banner across the teacher desk. Making a banner out of cutouts is one of the easiest things you can do when you are decorating your classroom…and they are super cute when they are finished!
Use a standard hole punch to punch a hole on two sides of the paper gears.
Thread the black ribbon through the punched holes. To make threading the ribbon easier, cut the end of the ribbon in a sharp point.
Use a permanent marker to write your message onto the gear banner.
The next time you are decorating your classroom, make sure you add one of these somewhere in your room…they are so easy and SO cute!
