When it comes to pumpkin decorating for Halloween, faux is the way to go! I love coming up with no-carve pumpkin decorating ideas using foam pumpkins. They allow you to get as creative as you like, such as these DIY Modern Geometric Glitter Pumpkins. These came together in minutes thanks to pre-painted teal pumpkins. I just added some colorful geometric stickers and topped it with a glittery stem for a modern take on a Halloween pumpkin!
Use the glitter foam geometric shapes to create any design on the outside of the pumpkin you like. Just peel and stick! Each sheet of stickers contains the same shapes, so you can make a mirrored image design with different colors such as the one shown here.
You can also use a pair of scissors to cut the borders of the geometric foam shapes into smaller rectangles to add to your design.
To create a glittery stem, first tape off the pumpkin at the base of the stem using washi tape or painter's tape. Then cover the stem with a generous layer of Mod Podge® using a foam brush.
Sprinkle glitter to cover the entire stem. You will want to do this on a protective surface such as a placemat or paper plate so you can reuse the excess glitter. Tape off the excess glitter and let dry.
