Run run as fast as you can, you can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man! Do you remember that cute song? I played it for my kids when we created this sweet gingerbread man mosaic craft. This super simple Christmas craft is great for kids of all ages. Create the mosaic look by using tissue paper squares and glue. Have your kids decorate their gingerbread man with their favorite craft supplies, such as buttons, rickrack ribbon and itty bitty pom poms.
Cut out a gingerbread man shape from the white stock paper. Spread the white glue onto the gingerbread man and place brown tissue paper squares on top of the glue. Make sure the glue is not too thick; you want a thin smooth layer. Using a glue spreader, gently spread a thin layer of glue on top of the tissue paper. Let glue and tissue paper dry. Trim off excess tissue paper.
Glue on two googly eyes, red pom pom nose and two pink buttons for the cheeks. Draw a solid black line for the mouth.
Let your kids add any other details to finish off their gingerbread men. Add a cute bow tie for boys or a hair bow for girls!
