Download the 'Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good' printable and print on heavy cardstock. Use crayons or colored pencils to color the tag. Download the Free Printable Here!
Use scissors to cut around each tag. Younger kids might need help from an adult for this step.
Use a gluestick to adhere the tag to the bottom of the brown paper bag (leave about an inch at the bottom). Be sure to leave adequate room at the top and bottom for the turkey neck and feet.
Note: If you have a large group or younger kids, you could make this project even easier with a little prep work. Simply cut out the blank 'Give Thanks to the Lord for He is good' tags, glue them onto the bags and then let the kids decorate them with crayons or colored pencils.
Open up the individual plastic bag that holds the turkey craft kit pieces and lay the turkey pieces out flat on your work surface.
Peel the adhesive backing from each foam piece and stick the foam piece onto the paper bag. Repeat until all pieces have been added to create the turkey.
Once the turkey has been decorated to your liking, use the puppets to pretend, play and tell what you are thankful for. Gobble! Gobble!
