Every rock star needs his or her own glam guitar, and we’re making our own for Music Makers Week of Camp Fun. These cardboard guitars are the perfect blank slate for campers to show off their creativity. All types of craft supplies can be used to decorate these guitars; the more glam the better! For this project we used metallic stars, foil mosaic squares, and hearts to make the guitars shine. We used yarn for strings and finished with markers to add more color and even an autograph or two to our guitars!
Start adding some bling with metallic mosaic squares. They are peel and stick making them great for young campers to use!
Add lots of stars! We used a mix of these adhesive gold stars and gold star confetti. Gold washi tape and hearts also add some extra shine to the guitars.
You can use markers to decorate the guitars too if you like. We used markers to add some “autographs” and sayings like “You Rock!”
Finish by adding some yarn to create strings. Now it’s time to rock it out – have fun pretending to be rock stars with your guitars.
