If you listen hard enough, you might be able to hear the tiny voices of Christmas gnomes coming from this charming Gnome Christmas Village. Three tiny gnome homes have been created in this charming snowy scene, perfect for decorating a mantle, shelf or table for the holidays.
Using the Sizzix Big Shot Die Cutter, along with the Winter Cottage Die, select and layer papers from the Textured Scrapbook Paper pack to create your own design for a winter cottage. Use glue dots to assemble the cottage as shown.
Select a paper to serve as the base for your gnome home. Trim with scissors to fit just to the center of the wood centerpiece, as shown. Use glue to adhere silver tinsel garland to conceal the edges.
Select two matching snowflakes from the Chipboard Snowflake sheet. Bend them at the bottom as shown, then glue back to back so that they create a standing snowflake.
Glue the cottage, snowflake, and a pile of white pom poms (to resemble snowballs) to the base layer of the gnome home. A little sprinkling of glitter snow adds to the look.
Add a selection of sisal trees to your scene. Using a variety of sizes and colors creates a dimensional, realistic look.
We created additional gnome homes using a variety of supplies, like Bird House Favor Boxes, Birch Coasters and Wood Block Banks. A large Wood Centerpiece is the base of each one.
Add a small hand lettered sign, using cardstock and a black marker. Ours is humorous, with the phrase, “Free Snowballs, Self Serve.” We edged the sign in glitter and added it to our tree slice.
Lay Glitter Batting on a flat surface to serve as the base of your gnome village. Add in lots of holiday decor to decorate around the gnomes. We used vintage and thrifted items to enhance the scene, and even a fairy gazebo, where we placed a tiny angel.
