Create an adorable Halloween Handprint Craft that can be turned into a garland with your kid's handprints! Ella and Annie made a ghost, jack-o-lantern, witch, monster and black cat. Each handprint character can be attached to twine to form a BOO-tiful fireplace garland! The perfect craft for pre-k and kindergarten. Kids can practice their fine motor coordination by tracing their handprints and decorating. We used foam sheets to trace and cut handprints for a more sturdy garland.
Trace your hand on black foam sheet. Cut out your handprint. Cut a small pink triangle from pink construction paper for the nose and small white strips for the whiskers. Glue two googly eyes, whiskers and nose on black handprint.
Trace hand on orange foam sheet. Cut out hand and two small leaf shapes from green construction paper. Glue green leaves to the top of the hand and use a black Sharpie® to draw the jack-o-lantern face.
Trace hand on white foam sheet and cut out. Glue two googly eyes on the hand and use a black Sharpie® to draw the ghost's mouth
Trace hand on purple foam sheet and cut out. Glue multiple googly eyes of various sizes to the monster face. With a black Sharpie®, draw the monster's mouth.
Trace hand on green foam sheet and cut out. Cut a small triangle from purple foam sheet for the hat, along with a black small rectangle for the hats trim. For the nose you can cut a small green triangle from construction paper. Glue on the googly eyes and nose. With black construction paper, cut tiny strips for the hair and glue onto the head of the witch. Next, place the witch hat over the hair and glue into place. Draw a mouth with the black Sharpie®.
