Halloween is just around the corner and one of my favorite things to do is to make spooky Halloween desserts. These delicious Werewolf Donuts are a quick and easy Halloween dessert that you can whip up for a party that looks amazing and start with store-bought plain donuts! That's right, these are no-bake, which means you can make these spooky cute donuts without having to turn on your oven!
Let's start with making the fondant werewolf ears. Take a small piece of brown fondant and knead it between your fingers until it's pliable. Then push it down into a fondant mold shaped like a leaf.
Push the fondant out of the mold and trim the excess around the edges with a knife. Repeat this for all of the werewolf ears. You will need a total of 12 to make 6 sets of ears.
Push a toothpick into the bottom center of each of the fondant ears. Set aside on a piece of wax paper.
Close each white plastic fang and secure it shut with hot glue. Be sure to hold the fangs closed until the glue dries. Repeat this for all six of your fangs.
Gently push one pair of fangs down into the center of each donut.
Place a 2D icing tip down into a pastry bag. Fill the bag with chocolate icing. To make filling the bag easier, place the bag inside a tall glass. When filled, remove it and squeeze the frosting down into the tip.
Now we're ready to frost the donuts. Starting at one end of the donut, near the bottom, place the icing tip down onto the donut and squeeze and lift straight up. Continue all the way around the entire donut creating one row of frosted spikes. Repeat this same process on the next row. Continue to fill in the next row. There should be a total of 3 rows of frosted spikes. The last row will fill in around the fangs covering most of the donut.
Place two fondant ears on each side of the top of the donut by inserting the toothpick into the top of the donuts.
Now you're ready to serve. Your kids are going to LOVE these!
