It's Halloween season! What better way to kick it off than to make Haunted Halloween Trees with your kids. My daughters loved this activity and our haunted trees are promininetly displayed in our front yard to spook all of our neighbors. This is a super fun halloween craft that you can bring out every year.
Fill your black pot with playdough or air dry clay and invite your child to stick different spooky sticks into it to form a tree. The creepier the sticks look the better. We spray painted ours black for extra creepiness before we stuck them in.
Sprinkle some orange and black colored sand onto the clay or playdough. You can leave this step for last if you want and do it outside to be totally mess free. My girls got to it a little sooner than I hoped. Oops.
Set out a selection of Halloween beads. My girls loved the Cute Ghost Charms to dangle from their trees. The beads can go directly on the little branches. They can also get pushed into the playdough or clay.
Use pipe cleaners in Halloween colors to add beads and twist on the branches of your haunted tree. My husband jumped in a made a pipe cleaner pumpkin. Get as creative as you want.
When you have all your details just right, put your haunted halloween tree in a great spot outside and start creeping out your neightbors.
