When putting together a Parisian styled bridal shower in black and white for the bride to be, it’s such fun to think of clever ways to display food and desserts to match the theme. These cupcakes have been iced to look like platform stilettos, and their soft pink shade with black accents is perfectly coordinated to our Chanel-Inspired Bridal Shower.
Place one cupcake in the center of your work area, and carefully press an oval cookie into the icing on top, at a 45 degree angle, as shown. The cookie should be able to stay in this position on its own for a few seconds.
Measure the approximate distance between the back of the “heel” and the table, and break a Pirouline in half. With the pink frosting, frost one end of the pirouline generously and press it up under the oval cookie, creating the support piece that will be the heel of the shoe. You can add more icing once it’s in place if you like.
Pipe a generous amount of icing to create the toe portion of the shoe, and carefully pipe around the perimeter of the oval cookie.
Add details like a bow, as we did here, using the black frosting.
Pipe edges and dots using the black frosting, until you get the look you love. These are lovely displayed on a dessert display at a Chanel-Inspired Bridal Shower.
