This delicious Peppermint Hot Chocolate is sure to warm you up from the inside out. Grab a mug and snuggle up by the fire for the perfect winter night. We love hot chocolate at our house. This recipe is defiantly one that we use all the time. Not only does it come together quickly with minimal ingredients, but you can also throw it in the slow cooker and have it ready when the sledders or skiers are ready to warm up.
- 5 1/2 c. Skim Milk
- 14 oz. Can Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 2 c. Heavy Cream
- 1 t. Peppermint Extract
- 2 c. High Quality Chocolate Whips
- Marshmallows and Candy Canes, Garnish or Added Flavoring
Combine all ingredients, except garnish, into a large pot over med-low heat. Stir until all chocolate is melted. Let come to a slight boil. Remove from heat and serve with marshmallows and candy canes.
You can also make in a slow cooker. Add all ingredients into slow cooker set to low heat. Let cook for 2 hours; stirring occasionally. It is done when the chocolate is fully melted and the drink is hot through.
