Homemade Peppermint Ice Cream

We totally enjoy making homemade No-churn ice cream at our house because it’s just so easy. A while back I shared our Mint Oreo Ice Cream and this is a peppermint twist on that recipe! All it takes is a few ingredients to make the best Sunday afternoon treat! Just make it in the morning and it will be ready for you to enjoy in the afternoon or evening.

Ingredients:
  • 2 C. Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1/2-1 Tbsp. Peppermint Extract (Not mint extract)
  • 2-4 Drops Red Food Coloring
  • 1/2 C. Crushed Candy Canes (Set aside 2 Tbs. to sprinkle on top)

Beat the cream for about 1 1/2 min.

Mix in sweetened condensed milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring. Mix in candy cane pieces.

Pour mixture into an 8x8 baking dish lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle a few Tbsp. of candy cane pieces on top. Place in freezer for 4-6 hours.

Use an ice cream scoop to serve. Serve in festive red and white cups. Add a sweet candy cane spoon! My kids love these spoons. They are also great for Hot Cocoa!
