- Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets
- Strawberry Preserves
- 1 c. Powdered Sugar
- 3-5 Tbs. Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 c. Butter
After frozen puff pastry sheet is thawed, cut each sheet into 6 pieces. You will need 2 frozen puff pastry sheets, or 12 rectangles cut from the sheets. 6 for the bottom, and 6 for the top of each pastry.
Line 6 pastry rectangles on parchment paper on a baking dish. Add 2-3 T. of Strawberry Preserves in the middle of each pastry rectangle.
Brush egg wash around the edge of each rectangle. Add a rectangle pastry on top.
Using a fork, press down around the edge to seal up the pastry. Using a knife, cut 3 slits in the top of each pastry.
Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes, until the top is a light golden brown.
With a mixer, mix together cream, powdered sugar, vanilla, and butter to make a thick and yummy icing.
Using a pastry bag, pipe swirls of icing on top of each strudel.
Garnish with Strawberries or other berries of your choice! I love these white rectangle serving trays for our homemade toaster strudels.
Using black and white twine, wrap string around the light blue parchment treat bags.
Add toaster strudels to the mini bags. A perfect way to share this tasty pastry with a friend!
