Here’s a fun way to decorate a wall in your home for the holidays – create a Christmas tree out of honeycomb balls! I decorated the wall above our foyer table with this honeycomb tree to make our entryway extra festive. It’s also the perfect solution for a living room wall if you don’t have enough room for a traditional tree.
Trim the string hangers off of the honeycomb balls with scissors. You will need 21 green honeycomb balls to make this tree. You can always adjust the size by adding more honeycomb balls.
Unfold the honeycomb balls halfway and use a piece of tape at the top and bottom to help them lay flat.
Add additional loops of painter’s tape or masking tape to the back of each honeycomb ball so they will stick to the wall.
Create your tree at the base of a wall or top of a table by first adding the bottom row of six honeycomb balls. Continue adding new rows on top, using one less honeycomb ball in each row and staggering the balls.
Finish the tree by draping a fun garland like this Fa La La La La Garland across it. Adhere to the wall with masking tape or a 3M Command hook.
If you like, you can add a small, colorful honeycomb ball to the top of the tree and scatter more across the bottom of the tree. If you create the tree above a table, you can drape a festive garland on top of the table as well!
