Something wicked comes this way, and it’s our supernaturally splendid Witches Brew Girls Night in! This party has it all, from a dreadfully decadent table design, to menacing mantle decor, a bewitching Halloween centerpiece idea, a perfectly preposterous potion bar of Halloween libations, a frightfully fun photo booth, and much more! Prop up your broom, and kick up your heels, because this party is a spellbinder!
Setting a Spooktacular Table Scene A base layer of Creepy Cloth centered on our long dining table. Places for our wonderfully witchy friends were created by pattern-mixing Halloween Silhouette Tableware with orange and black polka dot napkins, creating a striking contrast atop our own vintage black chargers. Each ghoulish guest was appointed a witchy name, such as Brunhilda, Griselda, and Desdemona; lettered onto darling Candelabra Place Cards.
Black Patterned Wine Glasses add sparkle, but we didn't stop there! They're embellished with Poison Charms and Lilac Tulle. To avoid having any of our witches become wicked, we appealed to their known love of sweets by creating some fearsome little favors using Lilac Tulle and Purple Foil-Wrapped Caramels.
A Bewitching Centerpiece Our centerpiece was cleverly crafted from a pair of witch boots and fresh flowers, and takes center stage in this dazzling table design. We used blooms in a bright and bold fall palette of sunny yellow, hot pink, and bright orange; it reallys adds panache to our spellbinding soiree! A step by step tutorial for making this unique Halloween centerpiece can be found here.
For long tables such as this, one centerpiece can seem lonely, so atop our Creepy Cloth, we layered in even more designer touches, like Gold Glitter Pumpkin Tea Lights, and our own handmade Pumpkin Vases with Fall Blooms and Succulents. Halloween Rats appear to be infesting the cloth that the centerpieces rest on. The result is an abundant appearance with loads of glamour and sparkle, with a slight twist of terrifying.
A Menacing Mantle makes a Frightful Focal Point We have a vintage mantle that we found at an estate sale; it's a perfect opportunity to display Halloween decorations during the most terror filled time of year. We created an original Witchy Things Wreath, and tied it to the center. Creepy Cloth and Spider Webs were artfully draped across the mirror and sides, and along the shelf, we displayed a darling halloween light-up mantel sign, and a few of our own handmade Glittering Ceramic Pumpkin table accents. Y A Feathered Crow sits atop a creepy curly willow branch, observing guests from above.
Activities for Your Ghoul-friends to Enjoy Perhaps you didn't know it, but witches love to pose for pictures, and take selfies. We made sure to provide the opportunity with this Frightfully Fun Photo Booth. Shimmering Black Metallic Fringe hangs behind layers of festive orange and black tissue fans. Our own wingback chair was pulled into the scene and draped with Creepy Cloth, giving it a haunting, deconstructed look. An unfortunate victim of one of our spells gone wrong is seated in the chair, draped in a glamourous Black Feather Boa. (Just kidding; he's a Life Sized Poseable Skeleton, a fundamental classic for decorating your home for Halloween!) We used chalk markers to create custom signs on chalkboards, with charming phrases such as, "The Witch Is In", "I put a spell on you", and "Witches be Trippin'". Our Fujifilm InstaX Instant Film Camera is the perfect party accessory for this interactive party activity. Just leave it out with a few packs of film, and, (insert evil laugh here), instant party favors! Want to see how we created this photo booth, step by step? Click here for all the details!
A Chilling Chandelier When we decorate for Halloween, we don't stop at the table, or even the mantle. Look everywhere for places to add a terrible touch, even UP! This chandelier goes from glamourous to ghastly when it's invaded by Feathered Crows. These shuddersome pests have made a nest among the arms of this crystal chandelier. Decorating your own overhead lighting fixture is easy, and creates a fantastic focal point in the home. Learn how we created this look with our tutorial, here.
Pick Your Poison, Set up a Halloween Bar Bubble, bubble, toil and trouble, we created a bloodcurdling bar display using a deconstructed vintage piano. First, we layered our display piece in Creepy Cloth, then created a background of tissue fans. No Halloween Bar is complete without a cauldron, of course. (Ours will be filled with dry ice when Halloween arrives!) Potions, "Boos", and mixers for crafty concoctions are arranged neatly on the lower level, including the ingredients for our own Halloween Cocktail, The Spookytini, which features a rim of Edible Blood and crackling Pop Rocks! Your cronies will cackle with delight when they see our clever sign atop the bar, with the phrase, "Pick Your Poison". A Wicked Witch stand-up adds height and interest to this impactful display. Drink responsibly, and remember to never fly faster than your broom can carry you!
Light the Candles. Take your place as the Queen of Halloween Taper candles top off the look when placed in our Spider Web Candelabra or for an alternative use our Candelabra with Glow-in-the-Dark Flames. This warm, flattering light creates ambience and throws fantastic shadows, perfect for a Halloween party.
