How to make a Beaded Tassel

Add this DIY Beaded Tassel to anything you like!  Simply tie the tassel around a glass jar lamp, or any décor you want to add a bit of interest to.  Change the bead colors to match your décor or paint them red, white and blue for a nautical or patriotic look.

Thread 6 – 18mm wood beads onto a wood dowel and paint 2 red, 2 white and 2 blue.  Allow time for the paint to dry.

As you can see, the bead holes are WAY too small to thread the beads through.  So, in order to give the illusion that the beads are threaded onto the cording, we are going to use hot glue to glue three beads on top of each other.

Cut a length of 5mm Natural Rope Cording and tie a knot on both ends.  Trim the knot tail as close to the knot as possible.

Glue the beads to the bottom of each of the knots.  And there you have it!  The illusion the beads are actually threaded!

Now to add the twine tassels! Cut off the hanger from two of the Jute Twine Tassels and glue the tassels to the bottom of the wood beads.
