Making moon sand is easier than you may think. Sharing the recipe and other creative play ideas to help you put together a moon sand play kit for your kids.
Pour 1 cup of water into Clear Classroom Storage Tub.
Measure out 2 cups of corn starch and add to water in the Storage Tub.
Add in 4 cups of sand. I wanted my moon sand to have some fun glitter, so I added in Silver Glitter Sandalong with the White Sand.
Mix together quickly. The corn starch and water can start to stick together so mix well. You may need to get your hand dirty and mix by hand. I actually liked mixing by hand.
Turn it over to the kids along with some items to play in the moon sand with. We used the Wacky Monster Bendables, Paint Funnels, Storage Cups, but add anything else you kids may like. My kids had a blast with these supplies.
This kept my kids busy for about an hour. It was heavenly. I did put a plastic tablecloth under them so I could just take it outside and shake it off and not worry about all the sand that found its way outside of the storage container.
