Bunco is my all time favorite girls night activity, and this time I wanted to make something special for our Kentucky Derby Themed Bunco. When I think of Kentucky Derby I always think horses, roses, green grass and trophies, and for Bunco it’s always the dice. So I combined all these things into a centerpiece that I just adored. To be honest I don’t like roses, especially red ones, so I went with nontraditional color scheme. PINK! Anyway, let’s get started on making these too cute centerpieces.
Glue the Garden Dice together, I do this first so it has time to dry. You might want to put something heavy on the dice to help it bond.
Draw a circle on your foam board and cut it out. I used green foam board to help me when I’m placing moss, so I won’t have white peeking through. You could always use white foam board if you have it and just paint it with some acrylic paint.
Place your glued dice in the middle of the circle to give reference. Use your spray glue and glue a section off at a time and press the reindeer moss all around the circle.
Glue the horse to the dowel.
Now just put the whole thing together. Place the bush roses in the trophy, place the horse in the bouquet of roses, and set the trophy on top of the dice. I cut a few buds off my bouquet and placed them around the moss to give a little more color to the green moss.
I don’t think I could love a centerpiece more than this one. I know that is just so silly to say, but it really pulled the Kentucky Derby Bunco together.
