The countdown to Christmas is on, and it's never looked cuter! This kitschy countdown garland features bright holiday colors and retro accents that give this Christmas advent calendar a sentimental look that makes your home cozy, inviting and undeniably merry.

Download, print, and cut out the banner templates. Use white chalk marker to trace the templates onto the Felt Sheets. We made our countdown garland with 12 days, but you can make as many days as you want. Cut out the traced felt with fabric scissors. Be sure to cut out three felt pieces per pennant, one large pennant, a circle and one smaller pennant.

Layer a small felt pennant and a large felt pennant on top of each other. Add a thin line of hot glue around the bottom two sides of the small pennant as shown.

Glue the two pennants together, matching the two bottom sides to create a pocket. Use hot glue to adhere a length of pom-pom trim to the top of the small pocket.

On the back side of the large penant, apply a thin line of hot glue to the top lip. Flip the top 1" down to sure in place and to create a pocket for the Baker's Twine.

Use hot glue to adhere a felt circle to the middle of the pocket, and then glue a Metallic Chenille Stem around the felt circle. Secure a number sticker to the middle of the circle.

Lay the pennants out in the order you want and then string a long length of baker's twine through the holes. Hot glue a yarn pom or jingle bell to the bottom of the pennant. Now just hang the garland and fill the pockets with small gifts.
