Did you know ladybugs are useful insects? They can be used as a natural pesticide to protect your plants from being eaten by other herbivore species. It is most common to see these ladybugs in orange, yellow and red with black spots. Create our ladybug rocks to add some color to your garden this spring!
Paint 1/3 of the rock black and the remaining 2/3 of the rock red (We also used orange. You can make rainbow ladybugs too!). Apply at least two coats to get nice bold colors.
Once your ladybug rocks have dried, take a black Sharpie® and draw two lines on the back of the head to form a triangle. Fill in the triangle with black paint. Next, draw a line down the middle of the rock to create the wings. Use the Sharpie® to make the black polka dots on the body.
Add the googly eyes using the quick dry glue.
