Your baby’s first birthday is a big milestone and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a special birthday bash as beautiful as she is! We created this adorable DIY Wood Slab Plaque as a sweet and memorable personal addition to our Lil Fox First Birthday Party. The best part is, you can customize it with any name or color you choose and enjoy this sweet plaque for years to come in your little one’s bedroom or playroom!
Start creating your DIY Wood Slab Plaque by using a foam paint brush from the Plaid Paintbrush Super Value Pack to apply the purple chalkboard paint to the Large Wooden Plaque. Leave a small border around the perimeter of the plaque.
While your chalkboard paint is drying, remove one of the cartoon foxes from the Lil Fox Favor Boxes by cutting along the fold line.
Once your chalkboard paint is fully dry, use a few dots of hot glue to adhere the cartoon fox you cut out to the base of the Large Wooden Plaque.
Now it’s time to personalize your plaque! We chose the phrase “little fox”, but you can use any name or phrase. Start by selecting which font you would like to use from the Awesome Alphabet Stencil pack and then, using your Jumbo White Bistro Chalk Marker, begin stenciling in your phrase.
This should leave you with a sweet little saying on the top half of your plaque!
To add a little extra dainty detail, grab your scissors and cut out the flower portion of the Lil Fox Treat Bags.
