Tie the ends of the two jump ropes to the base of the third as close to the handle as you can. Braid the ropes loosely together leaving about six inches free at the bottom.

Step

Wrap a piece of duct tape to secure the bottom, leaving the remaining 6” of ropes free. Wrap the handle of the whip with more duct tape so that it is covered completely, including the knots at the beginning of the braid so that it is secure.

To make the vest, hat and bowtie:

Using the fabric paint, “draw” a line along the black collar part of the carnival vest. Carefully place sequins one at a time on the line of paint and allow to dry.
