Llamas and school have a lot in common—they are both so much fun! This llama writing craft is the perfect way for students to reflect about what they enjoy learning and doing at school. It also works great if you are looking for an activity for the first week of school. Be sure to download the Free Llama Writing Prompt Printable and Llama Kids' Craft Printable!
Before you do the craft with your kids you will need to download the writing page in order to pick out and cut the paper that fits your grade. I made a page for Kindergarten through 6th grade! Download the Free Llama Writing Prompt Printable here!
Download and print the llamas for your student craft. Download the llamas for free HERE.Students can then cut out the llama by cutting around him. You may want to model how to do this.
Students will then attach 2 of the medium size Self-Adhesive Googly Eyes to the llama’s head above the nose.
Students will write about something they love about their class on the "Llama Fun" paper! I always find it's helpful to brainstorm ideas with the students before they write. You can do this in partners, as a whole class or even write down ideas on a chart. After students finish writing, they can color in the llama picture and words.
You can display students' llama crafts and writing on a farmhouse style "School is a LLAMA Fun!" bulletin board. It's perfect for back to school time or for an open house! I always love getting to display student work! Click here to read how to make this bulletin board.
