Does your child love all things space related? Looking for a fun craft to keep the little hands busy? I’m excited to be sharing our fun sand art rocket project from our recent Space Playdate! The kids had so much creating their own works of art with colored sand and a glue.
Download and print the free rocket ship printable.
Set up a craft station with the rainbow craft sand assortment, jumbo chubby paint brushes, white glue and craft trays. This project can get messy, so the craft trays are a must have!
Have your child squeeze a dab of white glue on a section of the rocket and spread evenly with the chubby paint brush.
Pour a small amount of colored sand into the lid of the container and have your child sprinkle sand on top of the sand. Shake or brush off excess sand in the tray with a dry brush.
Repeat using different colors of sand for each part of the rocket.
