As teachers, we are often looking for our favorite teacher items or our must-have teacher resources. Let’s face it; we, as teachers, are pretty particular about what we like. We look for items that are high quality and a reasonable price. Well, these are some of my favorite must-have products that you will love and your students will love them, too!
Can I get a peanut butter and jelly? Or a bacon and eggs? My students love these buddy lanyards when I pair students up for group activities. It’s easy to change groups throughout the year, and the students love seeing the different food combinations.
I am all about creating fun and engaging activities that steer clear of the typical paper and pencil activities. My students love these alphabet bean bags! Have students identify the letter on the bean bag and try to throw it into a bucket. If they get the bean bag into the bucket, they get a point! This activity is fun, easy, and it is a great way for students to learn their letters and sounds.
I must admit that learning names is not one of my specialities. I find that it takes me quite some time to learn my students' names. I then often call my students by the wrong name without even realizing. These name tags have saved me from embarrassment when trying to learn my students' names. It is also a great tool for students to wear when attending music, physical education, technology, or art!
These folders are one of my favorites! They are reasonably priced and will last me the whole year. These Kindergarten Common Core Pocket Folders are heavy duty to withstand the wear and tear of a 5-year-old. They are also a great resource for parents when completing homework with their child!
“Practice makes perfect!” This is an all too familiar phrase for my students. My students know that if they want to become better at something, they need to continue to practice. These dry erase letters were a lifesaver for me. This box set is a great way to practice the formation of letters and its dry erase cards make it easy to reuse!

One of my favorite educational products are these ABC rubber duckies! These ducks make learning the alphabet so much fun! Every duck is dressed up to represent the letter printed on the front of the duck. A great activity to do with your students is to hide the ducks around the classroom and take your students on an adventure to find all 26 ducks!
If an activity involves Play-Doh®, my students are always engaged. These counting mats are a great way to improve fine motor skills as children mold and manipulate the dough to match the number on the card. These mats are a great way to reinforce number recognition and counting, too!
