I think fun “crafty treats” are the best addition to kids’ parties or the perfect way to surprise your kids after school. They are fun to put together, and even more fun to eat! These cute snowflakes were a hit at my Snowflake Soirée kids’ party. Let little hands craft together their own original snowflakes.

Using toothpicks or white lollipop sticks (cut in half) skewer one or two marshmallows onto the outside sticks.

For the center marshmallow, break a few mini marshmallows in half so that you get the really sticky side. Mash together 4-5 of the sticky marshmallow halves to make a slightly bigger, and very sticky, center piece. This will help the toothpicks or lollipop sticks adhere nicely to the center.

Step

Craft together your snowflake by gently sticking your marshmallow skewers into the center marshmallow piece.

Without moving the snowflake (it will be pretty flimsy at first), spray a light layer of edible silver color mist over the marshmallows. This will give it a nice sparkly look.

Place them on light blue paper plates and serve with snowflake napkins for a sweet winter treat.
