If you love all things mason jars, then this is the project for you! Instead of using a real mason jar, this sweet DIY wall art starts with a wood mason jar shape. Paint the jar, "fill" it with a bouquet of pre-cut felt flowers, and hang it on your wall for a sweet addition to a kitchen vignette or gallery wall in your living room.
Start by painting the unfinished wood mason jar shape with acrylic craft paint and a foam brush. You can mix the blue and white together in this paint set to create a light blue. Let dry after you're done painting.
Use a small paint brush and light blue acrylic paint to paint the crevices of the mason jar to give it more dimension.
Create a bouquet of flowers by gluing pink felt flowers and magenta felt flowers to green chenille stems with hot glue. You can use the leaves from the felt flower kits as well by adding them to the stems.
Glue the flowers to the back of the mason jar with hot glue.
If you want, you can add the word "Home" in script using a fine paint brush, paint pen, or vinyl letters from a cutting machine. Hang the mason jar on the wall with 3M® Command Strips™. Use small Command Strips™ or a push pin to hold each flower up. I hung up my mason jar wall art along with these mini geometric wood wreaths.
