Imagine opening your mailbox and finding a message in a bottle, informing you of an impending wedding with a tropical feel. Clear bottles have a secret, removable bottom. Fill them with sand, seashells and a message, then cork them up, add a few charming embellishments, and send them off!
Remove the bottom of the bottle, and clear the contents.
To the bottom of the bottle container, add about a half inch of navy blue sand. Sprinkle a few miniature seashells over the sand.
Add a large white shell. (Most will fit; select one that looks correct to you. You can also accent these with a brush of gold or glitter paint, for a well-designed look.
Roll and secure your save the date notice with adhesive rhinestones, and place inside the bottle. You may opt to attach a string to be removed from the top, which is included with the message in a bottle kit. Secure the cork to the top of the bottle with a dot of glue.
Embellish the bottle with rhinestone adhesive gems, and add a beach charm to the neck of the bottle.
