You don’t have to be an artist to have fun crafting with these mini 4 x 4″ canvases! With the help of some beautiful floral rub-ons, a letter stencil, and some colorful paint, you can make sweet little monogram art to display on your desk or give as a gift. These would make for such sweet, personalized Mother’s Day gifts! This craft is for all you adult coloring lovers as well – you get to color in the flowers with Sharpies®! Check out how fun these mini monogram canvases are to make, and don’t miss the other creative canvas crafts for April’s Supply of the Month Challenge.
Paint the sides of the canvas with a foam brush and craft paint. Carefully use the angle of the brush to run a straight line of paint along the top edge. You can also tape off the edge to ensure a straight line as well. Apply two coats of paint for full coverage.
Use a letter stencil to add a monogram to the front of each canvas. You can place the stencil in the center or offset it if you like! If you are good with a paint brush, you can also freehand draw a monogram.
Select the flowers you would like to use on your canvas from the Bible Journaling Rub-ons and cut out with scissors. There are nice sayings in the rub-ons that you can use for your canvases as well! Remove the backing from the rub-on, position it on the canvas, and then hold in place while rubbing with a popsicle stick to transfer the flower to the canvas.
Now you can embellish your flowers with the fine tip Shaprie® markers.
Display your special canvas on your office desk, bookshelf, or nightstand!
