I love creating colorful wall decor. And really there is nothing better than creating colorful DIY wall decor that is also easy to make! These fun DIY Mini Color Wreaths are the perfect DIY to whip up in under an hour. At only three inches in diameter, they instantly add a pop of interest to any room without overtaking the space.
Select two washi tape colors and slowly wrap each color around the entire mini wreath. I folded the tape over on itself to create little tabs that extended beyond the wreath then trim themmed down to size. I created a simple pattern, cutting the yellow tape a little shorter than the peach coral tape.
The second type of mini wreath I created was a tape wrapped wreath. Using just a few colors, wrap the tape from one side of the wreath and then completely around until you meet back at where you started. This creates a bit of a three dimensional look.
Once you have finished creating the wreaths, it’s time to add your thread to hang them!
Add and tie off a piece of thread or thin yarn to your wreath. Then, add a few colorful beads for extra interest. I used gorgeous pastel round beads and bright bicone beads.
I was so pleased with how these colorful wreaths turned out! They make such a simple graphic statement.
