Apply 1″ wide strips of fabric or burlap to the vessel. Apply Mod Podge® to the fabric and continue to layer the Mod Podge® and fabric. Alternate for a couple layers to desired thickness. Place upside down and wait a couple hours for it to thoroughly dry. A fan will help speed the process.

Once the vessels are completely dry, loosen the plastic wrap from the vessel by carefully using your finger to lift between the layers. The plastic wrap will have protected your vessel from the adhesive, but it also acts as a bit of resistance between the new vessel and the original form and it can take a bit of coaxing to get off!

For the square vessel, I decided to add a little leather handle detail. To do this, I cut 2 – 3/4″ wide x 2.5″ long strips of leather, poked a small perforation through the leather and vessel and used a small metal brad to secure. Super simple, but adds super style!
