Run, skip and hop to the craft table to create a darling pair of gold wired bunny ears that are the perfect accessory for all your springtime soirees. These are a fresh and modern twist on traditional bunny ears. They keep in step with the season, as they feature delicate floral blooms and small pearls on a strand.
Using scissors or wire snips, trim a length of gold wire to approximately 14", leaving it curved as shown.
Twist just the ends of the wires to close at the bottom. You'll have some length remaining for wrapping onto the headband in the next steps.
Twist the wire onto the headband, taking care to crimp it down as you work your way around the piece.
Once the wire is securely wrapped at the base, you can shape the wire ear by elongating it, as we did. You can also make your bunny ears appear more round, whatever look appeals to you most.
Starting at the bottom of one side of the headband, use the white ribbon to wrap the headband, fully covering all of the black surface. Continue wrapping in an overlapping manner until you reach the first wire section.
When you reach the wire, wrap the ribbon tightly against it, then loop it around and continue wrapping. Repeat this when you reach the second wire ear, and continue wrapping.
When you reach the end of the headband, trim the ribbon to 1" overhang, then fold over and hot glue in place.
Embellish your finished bunny ears with small flowers and pearls in the design that best suits you, and you're ready to wear this charming pair of ears!
