Monster Favor Pails

We recently hosted a "Monster Mingle" Halloween Party and created these ado-roar-ble little monster pails to fill with goodies. They were incredibly easy to make and oh so cute!!! Mix and match the colors and faces to create one-of-a-kind creations. You could even let the kiddos decorate their own as a fun activity. These favor pails are a great addition to a Halloween party, but they'd also be great for a monster themed birthday party!

To begin, use scissors to cut one leg and the foot of the remaining leg off of Eyeballs with Suction Feet Bendables. You can use as many eyeballs as you'd like for each pail. We chose to use one eyeball for some, and two for others, but three would be cute, too! Set the discarded legs and feet aside.

Cut Black Striped Straws in half until you have enough straw segments for the number of eyeballs that you'll be using. Squeeze a dab of hot glue into the straws, then immediately insert an eyeball into the hole of the straw, gently squeezing to secure.

Hot glue a Tiny Pom-Pom over the raw wire edge where you removed the bendable leg so there are no sharp edges on the eyeball.

Position the eyes where you'd like them, then hot glue them to the inside of the Mini Neon Pails, holding until they are secure. Remember, you can use as many or as few eyes as you'd like. Have fun and get creative with it!

Now it's time to make those monsters come to life! Give them mouths and teeth (and noses, if you'd like) by cutting shapes out of white paper and colored construction paper. You can freehand this to make your own unique creations, or you can download a copy of the shapes we used, then trace them and cut them out.

Next, use hot glue to attach the pieces of your teeth and mouths. For this particular face we attached paper teeth to a Chenille Stem.

Position the mouths where you'd like them to appear on the pails, then secure with hot glue. We finished this mouth off by adding Tiny Pom-Poms to the ends of his smile.

Gather the legs and feet that you cut off in step one, then use scissors to trim the feet so they look like hands. Cut chenille stems to different lengths to create arms.

Hot glue the arms and hands to the sides of each pail.

Take a minute to step back and admire how monstrously cute your creations are, then fill the pails with goodies for the kiddos! These pails were not intended for food use, so be sure to package any food prior to putting inside the buckets. Be sure to see how these fun party favors looked at our Monster Mingle Halloween Party!
