I love you to the moon "pie" and back! This Moon Pie cocktail perfectly captures the whimsy & fun element of a Romantic Midnight Blue and Silver Wedding. Not only is it a blue color with light blue & silver starlight accents, it is paired with an old school moon pie sprinkled with stars. Falling in love with this cocktail won't be just a "phase"!
- 1.5 oz Tequila Blanco
- 0.5 oz Blue Curacao
- 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
- 0.75 oz Blueberry Syrup
- Ice
- Blue Rock Candy Lollipop
- Edible Silver Paint
- Mini Moon Pies
- Maple Syrup
- Star Sprinkles
- Blueberries
Prepare the Blue Rock Candy Lollipop garnish in advance. Paint the rock candy with silver edible paint and leave to dry. This may require 2-3 coats to get a glossy metallic look.
Add ice to fill a cocktail shaker halfway. Then measure the tequila, blue curacao, blueberry syrup and lemon juice into the shaker.
Shake until thoroughly chilled, about 30 seconds.
Pour the cocktail mix into a chilled Classic Champagne Glass.
Add the painted rock candy as a garnish and a couple of blueberries & star sprinkles for the look! I think they help with the galaxy look and feel.
Lightly brush the mini-moon pie with maple syrup
Add the star sprinkles to the top of the moon pie. The maple syrup will keep the stars in place.
Then place the mini-moon pie into a small Mini Square Plastic Dessert Plate.
Tie a "Cheers" tag to the stem of the glass.
Serve the Moon Pie Cocktail and mini-moon pie together. Serve up a galaxy of love!
