Teach kids to spell their name using art! Ella and Annie show you two ways to turn your child's name into art. This name art craft is perfect for beginners in pre-school and kindergarten. We used the tape resist and collage method to create these two name art projects. Washi tape is perfect for tape resist art, it is repositionable and will not tear the paper. I recommend using glue sticks in place of white glue for the name collage art.
Using the washi tape, spell out your child's name. Cut the tape with scissors for a nice clean edge.
Dip the dip and dotters into the paint and paint over the taped letters.
Once the paint has dried, gently peel way the washi tape to reveal your name!
Cut mini squares from colored construction paper. Trace your child's name onto white card stock paper.
Glue the mini scraps of construction paper onto the lines of the letters you drew. Continue until each letter is covered.
