Nature painting is a great activity for kids and gets them to discover their outdoor surroundings. Perfect for library books, this DIY canvas bag is an easy-to-make craft for your little ones to use all summer!
Gather leaves, rocks and flowers that you find outdoors. Place a piece of parchment paper in between the two layers of the bag before painting.
Gently place the leaf into the paint (we used neon fabric paint and glitter fabric paint for a fun mix of colors) and press to make sure the leaf is covered.
Position the leaf on the canvas bag and press down. I took my finger and worked my way around each part of the leaf pressing down. Pull the leaf off the bag and repeat!
Allow the bags to dry overnight. You can use a fabric marker to write each child’s name on their bag. Create beautiful works of art on paper and art canvases too! I recommend you use acrylic paint for those projects.
